Great start for AVIVA Soccer Sisters in Fingal

As the term OUTBELIEVE trended on social media, the nation tuned in to cheer on the Girls in Green last Tuesday night, a lot of people might not of known that earlier that day right across the Fingal area more than 200 girls had just finished their first session on the Aviva Soccer Sisters Camps.

This programme has been invaluable to the development and growth of women’s football across the country over the last decade. Not only do these programmes help teach new skills but they also encourage new friendships through sport while developing interpersonal skills.

The equal opportunity provided to girls on these Easter Camps can often act as the first step on the Elite Player Pathway, but what it guarantees for every participant is a fun envirnoment where they make memories and get to exercise outdoors.

With a second week of camps starting Tuesday, April 19th, there are already have more than four venues sold out in the Fingal region. However, check the website for openings at your local club because there are places still available at Camps around the country.

Commenting on these camps, Sean Moore, FAI/Fingal County Council Development Officer, stated: “The work done from Fingal County Council FAI Development Officers, local grassroot clubs, coaches and the many volunteers who give back to their local communities is overwhelming. To sell out nearly all of our Aviva Soccer Sister Camps is fantastic. We hope that all participants have an enjoyable experience and we get to see some familiar faces on our INTERSPORT Elverys FAI Summer Soccer School Camps starting in July.”
