FAI becomes part of GREENFOOT project
GREENFOOT - "GReen power and Energy Efficiency iNvestments community-Financed for fOOTball buildings" will see the FAI buildings increasing our HQ building energy efficiency via renovations with renewable energy installations.
The project is funded via the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme with support from UEFA’s National Governance and Global Institutions.
Two National Associations (Azerbaijan and France) have joined the FAI in being part of the project.
"UEFA through it’s National Governance and Global Institutions Unit is delighted to support the Horizon 2020 project ‘GREENFOOT’. This project will help the Football Association of Ireland and many more bodies, including the Azerbaijan Football Association and the French Football Federation, to improve energy use and in turn help fight climate change" UEFA's Head of the National Governance and Global Institutions Unit, Luca Nicola told FAI.ie.
