Mick turned professional in 1978 when joined Glasgow Celtic where he won 3 Scottish league titles and a Scottish FA Cup medal. He also had periods at Hibs, Blackpool, Wrexham, and Leyton Orient before coming to Cork City where he played and assisted Manager Noel O’Mahony from 1989 -1993. Mick was a runner up in FAI Cup in 1989 and again in 1991 before winning the League of Ireland title in his last season with Cork City in 1993. Mick joined the FAI in 1994 where he has worked in player development heading up the Cork FAI / ETB (formerly FAS) Course.
