Education programme
If students achieve a certain standard in the Sport & Recreation studies, they will have the opportunity to participate in the ITEC Certificate in Exercise & Fitness (Gym Instruction) course which is a professional qualification and an excellent introductory qualification for a career in the leisure and fitness industry.
In order to achieve the Major award, students must pass eight of the component modules listed below. Those who do not achieve the eight passes can still achieve individual component module awards. There are up to 400 points available by completing and achieving the Major Award which can be very useful for trainees who have ambitions of progressing to third level education in the Institutes of Technology countrywide.
