Peamount FC lose out to SFK 2000 in Sarejevo
Peamount opened their European qualifying campaign with a tough match against Bosnian champions SFK 2000 in Sarejevo. The encounter finished 4-0 after Amela Fetahovic scored two and Andjela Seslija and Aida Hadzic added one each before half time.
Despite their best efforts, the inaugural title holders of the Bus Éireann Women's National League failed to reproduce the form which saw them make the last 32 of the Champions League last September.
Eileen Gleeson's charges will be hoping to start afresh tomorrow when they take on ASA Tel Aviv. The Israeli club won their opening match 5-0 against UWIC of Wales who will be opponents for Peamount's final Group 5 match on August 16.
