DAVID made his Ireland debut against the USA in November 2014 after an impressive run of form with his club Ipswich Town.
The talented striker had a protracted process to get his paperwork cleared so that he could play for Ireland but the paperwork came through a few weeks before he made his debut.
Nottingham-born McGoldrick started his career with hometown club Notts County and made four first team appearances while still a teenager before joining Southampton in 2004. He had loan spells back with Notts County and also at Bournemouth and Port Vale before eventually moving to Nottingham Forest in 2009.
During his four years at the City Ground McGoldrick also had loan spells at Sheffield Wednesday, Coventry City and Ipswich Town. He eventually completed a permanent move to Ipswich in 2013 and has shown real consistency with the Tractor Boys,
McGoldrick's debut for Ireland was impressive as he helped set up two goals in a 4-1 win over the US.
