Ireland U18: Crawford's side defeated by Netherlands

The Republic of Ireland Under 18s lost their second game in a row at an Invitational Tournament in Spain with defeat to a highly-rated Netherlands side.

The Dutch bounced back from defeat to Czech Republic on Thursday, and scored four goals in each half to win 8-0 at the Pinatar Arena.

It was the second game in three days for Ireland, after they lost to Belgium at the same venue on Thursday.

Ireland play their final game on the tournament on Monday afternoon when they face Czech Republic. Kick off is at 17:00 local time (16:00 Irish time).

Republic of Ireland: Rory Brown; Ciaran Brennan (Luke Nolan 46), Joseph Redmond, Jordan Doherty, Kameron Ledwidge; Matthew Shiels (Gavin Kilkenny 46), Aaron Bolger, Richard O’Farrell, Rowan Roache (William Ferry 46); Aaron Connolly, Adam Idah (Andrew Lyons 63).
