A development age between the two championship age groups, the U18 squad is an opportunity to put the experience gained in the UEFA U17 Championship to good use as they prepare for the U19 Championship. The squad is managed by Paul Doolin, who also looks after the U19s. Each year an U18 international match, featuring a squad made up of home-based players, is also played.
