Doolin names U19 squad for UEFA elite qualifiers
Republic of Ireland Under-19 Head Coach Paul Doolin today named his Under 19 squad that will compete in the Uefa Under 19 Championship Elite Phase Qualification Group 4 tournament.
Ireland will face group hosts, Portugal followed by Ukraine and will finish up facing Israel on the 31st of May.
Speaking about the tournament Doolin said: "This is a tough group and there will not be any easy matches but there is no reason why we can't go there and give a good account of ourselves. Portugal in the first game is clearly a big match, if we get something out of that then it will give us the confidence to come out of the group.
"I have confidence in this group of players, I know that if they play to their potential then there is no reason why they can't challenge for top spot in the group."

Sean McDermott - Arsenal
