Trapattoni names squad for Greece game

Giovanni Trapattoni has announced a provisional 26 man squad to face Greece in a 'Three international friendly' on November 14 in Aviva Stadium, Dublin. The squad will be shortened to 23 players before the squad meet up in Dublin on November 11.

The squad includes Norwich City's Wes Hoolahan but skipper Robbie Keane has been asked not to travel from Los Angeles while Shane Long is ruled out with a hamstring strain and joins Richard Dunne and Sean St Ledger on the injury list. Thirty-year-old Hoolahan, who has one cap, was initially included in Trapattoni's squad for the August friendly in Serbia but was unable to accept the recall due to injury.

Trapattoni said: "I have decided to choose a provisional 26 man squad for this game due to injury doubts over players. As we have a break from competitive games for a few months, I am using this fixture as an opportunity to try out new players and view their potential. Greece are currently 10th in FIFA's World Rankings, and will provide a very difficult opposition for us. Players like Samaras, Gekas, and Karagounis are extremely talented. I am looking forward to setting our squad up for this challenge.'"

Tickets for the game are now on sale from www.ticketmaster.ie starting at just €10 for children and €20 for adults. Family tickets are available and start at just €50.
