Republic of Ireland international striker Leon Best has joined Blackburn Rovers from Newcastle United on a four-year contract.
Rovers boss Steve Kean worked with Best at Coventry City during the pair's time there and made a swoop for the forward to bolster his team's promotion bid back to the English Premier League.
Best follows the lead of fellow Irish international Keith Andrews in switching clubs. Andrews, who will miss Ireland's first World Cup qualifier in September due to suspension, secured a move to Bolton Wanderers last Friday.
