
James Nolan RIP
The Football Association of Ireland (June 20) expressed its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Republic of Ireland supporter James Nolan whose body was identified yesterday in Bydgoszcz.
The 21-year-old supporter from Blessington was last seen in the early hours of Sunday and Polish police in cooperation with their Irish counterparts had been mounting a large search operation in the area.
Speaking this evening FAI President Paddy Mc Caul said, "In common with all supporters we are deeply saddened by this tragic loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time."
John Delaney, FAI CEO added, "We offer our sincere condolences to James' parents, his brother and sister and his friends. We all feel their heartbreak at this tragedy. May he rest in peace."
Blessington AFC has opened an online book of condolences for its late friend, team-mate & colleague James Nolan and would welcome all support for the Nolan family and for James' team-mates at this tragic time.
