Â
Republic of Ireland Under-16 manager John Morling has named a squad of 36 players for next week's A and B friendly matches away to Belgium.

Â
Morling's Ireland have played 13 games at Under-16 level this season and the two sets of matches next Tuesday, April 27 and Thursday, April 29 will complete their programme.
Â
Â
The 36 players will be divided into two squads, with both panels playing a game on each of the match-days. Republic of Ireland Under-17 manager Sean McCaffrey will be attending to assess the personnel at his disposal for next season's UEFA U17 qualifying series which begins in the Autumn.
Â
Â
"This is an ideal way to conclude the season because it's the equivalent to a trial for next season's Under-17 squad," said Morling.
Â
Â
"We have nine uncapped players in the squad and they, along with the rest of the boys, will get their opportunity over the games.
Â
Â
"The players have gained a strong education on international football this season by playing against top nations such as Italy, Portugal, the Netherlands, Denmark and Czech Republic.
Â
Â
"They will be better prepared as a result for next season when they move up a level for the UEFA Under-17 Championships."
