UEFA have announced the appointment of Michelle O'Neill to the UEFA Women's Under 19 Championships Final between Spain and Sweden on Saturday 14th July as Assistant Referee.

This is a great honour for Michelle and the Association and is recognition of the outstanding performances she has produced throughout this tournament including three group fixtures (Denmark v Romania, Serbia v Sweden, Portugal v Denmark) and the Semi Final between Spain and Portugal.

Michelle started refereeing in the local Wexford leagues in 2008 and is a graduate of the FAI Referee School of Excellence. She became a National League Assistant referee in 2010.  Michelle also has a FIFA Women's Assistant Referees Badge since 2011. She has officiated games in the FAI Ford Cup, EA Sports Cup, Airtricity League Premier and First Division and the Bus Eireann Women's National League and Cup.

The Final will be shown live on Eurosport 2 on Saturday
