UEFA Europa League Final

Besides generating revenues that will support Ireland's football grassroots, Aviva Stadium has also opened up the possibility for the FAI to attract additional major events and tournaments to Dublin. Already, a comprehensive joint bid by Dublin City Council and the FAI to host the 2011 UEFA Europa League Final has been successful, against strong competition from other European stadia. It is estimated that this flagship event involving Europe's top club sides will generate revenues of between €30m and €100m for the City of Dublin.

4 Associations' Tournament

Aviva Stadium will also host the 4 Associations' Tournament in 2011 following agreement between the FAI and its counterparts in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to host a Four Associations' Tournament at Aviva Stadium in 2011. This will be the first senior international tournament to be hosted by the FAI and will attract thousands of supporters from all over Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland for a festival of football as the four neighbouring teams compete over six games in Aviva Stadium in February and May 2011, for the 4 Association's Cup.

Argentina - First interational game, August 11, 2010

The first international match to be played in Aviva Stadium will be against two times World Cup winners, Argentina on August 11 2010, an occasion that promises to provide a great atmosphere and a memorable celebration of our new home.
