Ireland Amputee team ready for Polish Cup opener.
23rd Jun 2017

Ireland's International Amputee football side will play in a 6 Nations tournament in Warsaw, Poland this weekend.  Teams taking part along with Ireland are Poland, England, France, Greece, and Japan.

FAI Football development Officers Nick Harrison and Declan Consadine have recently taken over the management of the squad with this weekend's tournament being their first taste of an international tournament.

The Polish Cup will be used as a warm up to the European Championships which are due to take place in Turkey later this year. Ireland take on France and England in the group stage, with a place in Sunday's semi final the aim for the side captained by Simon Baker. Everyone in the Football Association of Ireland wishes the team the very best of luck in this weekend's tournament.
