FAI Ford Senior Cup

The oldest football competition in Ireland, the FAI Senior Cup is the Blue Riband event for clubs in Ireland. Clubs from the Airtricity League compete with junior and intermediate clubs in a competition that dates back to 1922.

The current holders of the competition are Sligo Rovers  who beat Drogheda United  3-2 in another thrilling decider final at the Aviva Stadium on November 3, 2013. Anthony Elding scored a dramatic winner deep in stoppage time as Sligo Rovers lifted the FAI Ford Cup for the third time in four years before a crowd of 17,573 at the Aviva Stadium.
