Irish players to feature at annual FIFPro Winter Tournament


NISO, the Norwegian professional footballers' association, are once again hosting the FIFPro Winter Tournament this week.


Players from Norway, Sweden, Finland and Ireland hope to find a new club by participating in this event.


The second edition of the FIFPro Winter Tournament (the first was in January 2011) will take place in Oslo this Friday 16 December 2011. The Norwegian hosts of the tournament, Team NISO, will face a tough battle in the opening match against last year's winners Finland.


Former Shamrock Rovers coach Trevor Croly is in charge of the Irish squad which was drawn from the PFAI list of players who are seeking employment for the season ahead.
